He set his sights on the wrong girl.
Law school taught me a lot of things, but nothing prepared me to deal with this determined, hotter-than-Hell millionaire. Don’t get me wrong, I’m flattered. But resisting Will Mershano is harder than passing the bar. He’s everything: sexy, confident, intelligent. And he wants me.
When he hires my firm to represent Mershano Vineyards, I’m left with no choice but to work right alongside him—or forfeit my job. There’s only one problem. He doesn’t know about my past or how it stalks me at every turn. All he wants is a little flirtatious fun, but Will’s playing a dangerous game.
And there’s more at stake than just my heart. . .
I knew right away that I was going to love this book. It starts out with us meeting Will and Rachel so that Rachel can go over a contract for her best friend. The attraction between them was there and the chemistry was simmering already. Will tries to convince her to work for him but Rachel won’t because she knows the attraction is there, coupled with the fact that her ex causes her all sorts of trouble. Will is persistent though and we get to follow along as he proves himself worthy of her friendship and maybe even more.
What can I say about Will other than he’s absolutely swoon worthy? He is probably my new favorite book boyfriend. The more I read the more I fell in love. The way he interacts with Rachel is perfect and the lengths he goes to in order to earn her trust is just so heartwarming. The author really came up with a perfect match in this book; you’ll see what I mean once you read! I’ll be honest I didn’t notice the length of this book because it was so engrossing that my attention was all in from start to finish. I had not previously read anything by Lexi C. Foss but now I cannot wait to go back and read The Prince’s Game and other things by her.
