My Thoughts
This was my first read by author Eilidh McGinness but the way she wrote her characters just drew me in.

This book follows the story of Aurelie & Jason; two strangers who happened upon each other one day by chance. Both these main characters have past issues and neither want anything serious and yet they are drawn to each other. I love how the author had the characters grow together to see if they could overcome their past hurts and issues. There are a few times when the author threw a curveball and took the story in a direction that I was not anticipating, but she made it all work out in the end. Everything about this book just draws the reader in. The chemistry between the two main characters, the history and drama from the characters’ past, and even the atmosphere just draw you in. The author has made me want to learn all I could French culture.

This isn’t a long book and the pacing is rather quick so once the reader gets in to the story they will just breeze right on through the book. I am eager to see what else this author comes out with; I would enjoy reading another one of her books.

About the Author

EILIDH MCGINNESS has always loved fairy-tales, history and other world fantasies.  She is never happier than when reading a good book.  Writing is a passion which she finds time for by studiously avoiding ironing and a whole manner of other household chores. Eilidh has four children. The elder two have now fled the nest and the younger two live with her in South-West France.  Eilidh was born in Scotland and although now based in France during the school term spends as much time as she can in Scotland and travelling.
