Brief Synopsis
Mallory Sullivan has graduated from college at the top of her class and now she is ready to get on with her new life. Through hard work & determination, she has managed to land on of the most coveted internships in the country. Growing up in foster care she used to dream of a life like the one she is now going to get to have.
Then she meets Oz and realizes that there is so much more to what she dreamed. Fate seems to decide who gets your love, who wins your heart and soul… Until she realizes that fate had little to do with it.

My Thoughts

I love everything Alexa Riley writes. Everything they have ever published has been over-the-top amazing & this book was no exception. When I found out that these ladies were going to release a full-length novel I was so ecstatic! Each of their books is full of heavy lust & sweet love moments – the perfect romance quickies, so it was safe to assume that this one would be the same, if not better because it was longer.

The chemistry between Oz & Mallory is intense from the first time they met. This is one of the best cases of insta-love I’ve read & the tension between the two of them is so intense; when they finally do get to the sex it’s borderline explosive. Both of the main characters were given backgrounds that helped the readers understand why they are the people they are, and there were several supporting characters that were given back stories (and after the epilogue we were given a peek at Ryan’s book coming soon). There were tense moments between them when Mallory learned how much of her life Oz had been controlling, but in the end love comes out on top. These two were made for each other & even though Oz may have pushed it along, I do think fate would’ve put them together anyway.

All in all, this book was everything a reader has come to love & expect from an Alexa Riley book. Even though it is a longer novel, I still almost read it in one sitting because I loved it so much. The only reason it took longer than a day is because my husband confiscated my kindle because I was up at 3 in the morning trying to finish the book 😉
