Sinfully sexy bar owner Dylan Bad has a thing for needy women. He’s a savior, a knight in shining armor, and his mighty talented sword has no trouble bringing damsels in distress to their knees. Enter Tiffany Winters, a gorgeous cutthroat sports agent who looks like sex on legs, fucks like she’s passion personified, and wouldn’t let a man help her if she was hanging onto a ledge and he was her only hope. One night and too much tequila might change their lives forever. The question is, will either one survive?

My Review:

This author wrote of a sassy female who has worked 24/7 (pretty much literal) for the past few years of her life.  The last thing she is worried about is a man; you go girl!  She is determined to be the best sports agent and she is a character who knows what she wants & goes for it – love that!  When Tiffany first meets Dylan she is determined to make it a one time, temporary thing.  She has hurt and pain (a lot of it) in her past so she’s not just going to open her heart to someone who was supposed to be a one night stand.  Little does she know! I just loved reading the ways he wore her down and made her realize how much she was missing out on in her life.

This book had me captivated from the beginning.  Dylan’s character is strong (and so sexy) and the author really shows the depth of how much he cares for the people around him, almost seeming to want to fix them.  He also has his own pain that he is slowly trying to work his way through.  This isn’t the romance book where only one character realizes something needs to change – where the workaholic realizes she needs to have some down time or where the man realizes he doesn’t really want, or need, a clingy & needy female.  This book is one where both main leads realize that they have things missing from their lives.  I love how the author captured the journey the characters went on, including the eventual epiphanies that were reached.

This was my first book by Melissa Foster and it was so great that I can’t wait to read other books that she has previously released.  There was a warning in the beginning of the book that mentioned if this was the first Melissa Foster book the reader has opened that you were missing out; I can wholeheartedly understand and agree to this now.  This is the second book in this series, but I have not read the first one and I was able to follow along; so don’t worry – this can be read as a standalone – but you will love it so much you’ll want to go back and read the first one.
