Book Review

Bad Boy Next Door

Inked by Lauren Landish & Willow Winters
Rating: 4 Stars
Genre: Romance

Brief Synopsis
Zane Stone can have any woman he wants; he has the looks, the tattoos and the attitude that all the ladies love. Until Maddie. She’s the first girl to tell him no, but she’s also the first girl that makes him want more. He just has to convince her he is worth the risk.

Madeline ‘Maddie’ (or Peaches, as Zane has nicknamed her) Murphy runs into Zane her first night in town. She wants him so badly but she pushes him away. No harm, no foul since she will never see him again – until she runs into him again. Right next door to her new condo.

My Thoughts
Zane is so dirty and cocky that it’s almost funny how quickly Maddie turns him down. I actually might have chuckled. There were times where she aggravated me though; I’m not a fan of writing off the whole sex/gender because of one person. But she has her reasons for her thoughts and Zane is persistent in helping her break down those barriers she has up. The struggles that this couple goes through are intense and Zane might actually live up to his bad boy name in the end – but I won’t spoil it.

This is a fairly quick read but it is worth it. The ladies put together the perfect combination of characters; we’ve got the innocent & shy girl next door, the loud & outspoken roommate, the dirty-talking tattooed bad boy, and a couple scary bad guy types. They round out to make a pretty entertaining story. This book made me laugh, it made me sweat – for both good AND bad reasons, and it made me swoon. The authors are both very talented writers on their own so together, of course they would come up with gold. I can’t wait to read the next one 🙂
